Rob Lehane was born in Cork, Ireland. He received his B.Sc. degree in Chemical Sciences (2015) and M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry (2016) from University College Cork. During his MSc., he conducted research at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry and Microbiology for Materials and the Environment (LCPME) in Nancy, France under the supervision of Dr Grégoire Herzog. His work there was focused on the development of electrochemical sensors based on silica modified micro liquid-liquid interfaces. Rob won an Irish Research Council (IRC) Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship in 2018 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Limerick under the supervision Dr. Micheál Scanlon.
