Nicolás Rojas-Sanabria

Ph.D. Candidate

Nicolás was born in Villavicencio and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. He earned his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia (UNAL) in 2018. His final year project was the design and set-up of a vapor pressure osmometer to obtain activity coefficients for lithium salts in protic solvents systems, under the supervision of Prof. Jaime Aguilar-Arias. This project was listed as a finalist in the XXVI National Prize for the best Final Year Project in Chemical Engineering. Since early 2020, he is a Ph.D. student at the University of Limerick under the supervision of Dr. Micheál D. Scanlon. His Ph.D. is funded through an award from the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) AMBER centre.
