Nataly Rey-Munoz
Ph.D. Candidate
Nataly was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the National University of Colombia (UNAL) in 2017. During her last two years of bachelor's, she was part of the Electrochemistry research group headed by Dr. Prof. Marco Fidel Suarez-Herrera. Her final project focused on the use of copper nanofoams for electrocatalysis of carbon dioxide reduction. In 2018, she joined the Scanlon Electrochemistry Laboratory. Since then, her research has focused on the electro-synthesis of conductive polymers at the liquid-liquid interface. Her Ph.D. is funded through Dr. Scanlon's European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant (SOFT-PHOTOCONVERSION; agreement no. 716792). Her main interests include the development of materials, especially with applications in energy conversion and electrocatalysis.
