Dr. Andrés F. Molina-Osorio
Andrés was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the National University of Colombia (2012) and his master's degree in chemical science (2014) from the same university after a 6 months internship at EPFL (Switzerland). Andrés carried out his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Micheál D. Scanlon at University College Cork (UCC) and the University of Limerick (UL) in Ireland. His research was focused on the fundamental understanding of porphyrin self-assembly and (photo)electrochemistry at the interface between two immiscible liquids. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree in 2020, he moved to Stockholm to join the group of Dr. Gaston Crespo at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). His work is focused on the theoretical and experimental understanding of ion transfer processes in electrochemical sensors.
